Playing Defense: Employee Retention and Engagement

Abstract:
This presentation outlines the steps that managers need to take to identify their key employees and create engaging employment experiences for them. In a seller’s job market (fewer job seekers than job openings) talented employees have lots of choice in where they work, and the headhunters are trying to pry them loose. We’ll use Manager Engagement Model to explore what the elements of employee engagement are. Participants will learn how to identify who their key employees are and how to “build walls” around them through engaging management behavior.
